The Fredericksburg Area Virginia State University Alumni Chapter is organized for the mutual benefit and prosperity of Virginia State University (VSU), its graduates, former students, and others committed to our Alma Mater in and throughout Stafford County, Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania and King George County.

As a collective expression of gratitude to VSU, we form ourselves into this chapter so that our work and dedication will strengthen and support our Alma Mater ensuring that it remains a viable institution and that memories of our school life will be kept alive. In recent times, we have actively participated in community outreach endeavors such as the Braswell Race, National Night Out, and S.E.R.V.E. These initiatives have been instrumental in providing essential financial assistance to students enrolled at VSU. In fact, between 2020 and 2023, we proudly offered scholarships totaling $10,000 to deserving students from our service area who are pursuing their education at VSU.

As we look ahead, our focus for this year and the next revolves around amplifying our visibility within our service area, fostering the growth of our membership base, and exploring innovative approaches to support both Virginia State University and our dedicated local students.
